The so called "COME ON! IT'S 2020" mentality is not an excuse for us to accept this kind of blasphemy!!!

BECOMING AN ALTAR SERVER IS THE SEEDBED OF PRIESTLY VOCATION!!!

Did you know why the Church sees the allowing of Altar GIRLS as a Liturgical Abuse?

Did you know why being an altar server is called the "seedbed of priestly vocation"?

1994 letter from the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Sacraments:

"The Holy See wishes to recall that it will always be very appropriate to follow the noble tradition of having boys serve at the altar. As is well known, this has led to a REASSURING DEVELOPMENT OF PRIESTLY VOCATIONS. Thus the obligation to support such groups of altar boys will always continue."

Questions address such topics as ordinands age, ethnicity, siblings, education and participation in parish ministries. So you see, being a SAKRISTAN is actually a way to introduce the young men for the priestly vocation. and not a source of entertainment for your lustful guts!!! If an ALTAR SERVER is struggling from homosexuality, HE MUST LIVE THE CALL OF CHASTITY! We already have a group called COURAGE PHILIPPINES that helps our brothers and sisters who are struggling from same-sex attraction. If you are a youth from Davao, the FRIENDS OF JESUS CHASTITY SUPPORT GROUP may help you. God loves you! We are all called to be good! We are all called to be pure and chaste in this time where lust becomes a norm.

Shouldn’t we do all that we can to assist young men discern a possible calling to the priesthood? If we determine that young men are more likely to discern a vocation to the priesthood by being an altar server, shouldn’t we seek to increase their participation?
